In Chapter 2 of Volume Two of The Termite Queen <\/em>Ki’shto’ba Huge-Head confronts the Star-Beings and challenges them to single combat.\u00a0 The following is the text of that speech as Kaitrin\u00a0 Oliva transcribed and later translated it.<\/p>\n

Strange Ones, I address you!\u00a0 I am Ki\u2019shto\u2019ba Huge Head, of To\u2019wak, Champion of the fortress of Lo\u2019ro\u2019ra.\u00a0 We are the Shshi of Lo\u2019ro\u2019ra and if we must, we will fight you to keep our fortress safe.\u00a0 And yet I call the Challenge in the name of Lo\u2019ro\u2019ra\u2019s Holy One and King:\u00a0 Let there be honorable single combat so that the deaths of many can be avoided!\u00a0 Send out your Champion, Strange Ones, and alone I will fight it!\u00a0 If I prevail, then you must go away and leave Lo\u2019ro\u2019ra in peace!<\/p>\n
